I purchased this item to have an extra stir bar for making 2L yeast starters. My expectation, based on the pictures and description, was that this was a PTFE coated, octagonal stir bar with pivot ring. Instead, I received a plain round stir bar.Functionally, it may be just fine, but it isn't consistent with the product description(which seems to have since been changed, and picture removed). The difference is whether you are getting what you pay for. Oddly, the item isn't even the same as the picture on the packaging, and the manufacturer's web site advertises only the octagonal bars. If you buy one of these, be aware that you might not be buying what you think you are buying. |
