Dowel Pins also referred to as Parallel Pins, are commonly used to retain parts in a fixed position or to preserve alignment. Accurately ground to plus 0.0002, minus 0.0000 of the stated diameter and + or -0.010 of the length, they are chamfered at both ends for easy insertion. A selection of sizes and lengths is a useful addition to the well-equipped shop or laboratory.

It seems kind of funny writing a review about a pin, but it's getting harder to find pieces of hardware like this around town at Lowes or Home Depot and I have taken to just ordering from Amazon when I need things like this because it much less of a hassle then driving around town only to find one less then you need. Even though I may not need the quantity they sell on Amazon, its generally cheaper and I have extras around the shop for future projects. The pins themselves where just as advertised and worked out great.
