Product finally arrived after a longer than expected wait. Assembly was painless and I was excited to see my 90-year-old grandmother use it on shopping trips. Unfortunately, about the second time she used it, one of the rear wheels inexplicably broke apart and little ball bearings went flying all over the place. Luckily, she was on a flat surface and nothing happened to her.Well, I thought this will be easy, I'll simply call Medline and have them ship me a replacement wheel. Since they drop-shipped the walker to me, my order and information should be in their database. Not so easy. The first rep I talked to seemed very concerned and told me that someone from quality control would get back to me right away. I heard nothing for 2 days, called back and this time was told to return the item to the seller. I tried to explain to them that it makes no sense for me to ship back the item across... The plusses for me are the removable backrest and the light weight. The good news is the seat can be raised or lowered for someone who is not "average" height; the bad news is the handles get raised or lowered with the seat. So if the standard seat height is wrong for someone, this is a great walker. However, since it will probably be used for walking more than sitting, make sure the resulting handle height is good.Bottom line, if the standard seat height is OK then you are better off with a Rollator that has adjustable handles; but if you need a different seat height, this is a GREAT rollator. Strong, well made, light and foldable. We love it. |
