I remodeled my bathroom and bought a new moen handle and showerhead kit, little did iI know the kit came with a new vavle that was supposed to be installed before I put up new walls and tile. Long story short, the new hardware wouldnt line up with the old moen standard valve. This service kit saved the day. Useful for replacing a moentrol-style pull and turn valve handle. However, the 2 and 7 o'clock holes were slightly too far apart for my new moen escutcheon plate so I forced it in with a powered screwdriver. And then another problem arose: since the adapter is thicker than I expected, the new stop tube now extends millimeters too far and does not allow my handle to be pushed in all the way (and therefore a slight leak) to turn off the water. |
