However, since I'm a beginner, I'm not always the best hitter. While it does slide around a bit with a good "divot" type hit, the one thing I didn't count on was taking out half of the tee holder when I had it set up so that it was at the front side of my shot, hitting off the grass/mat. Two of the four "pieces" that are used to hold a tee in place snapped off when my club went a little too low for too great a distance, and flew across my lawn with the ball I hit. I've yet to find one of the two pieces. The feel is great and it is very durable so far. Don't be surprised though, it is very small. This is no driving range mat, it's only a bit larger than a piece of paper. Then again if you aren't precise enough to hit a ball off of a mat this size, you have larger problems than a hitting mat will solve.
