It makes it perfect for large screen TVs 2) USB connector that you can plug into either a power unit that comes with it or any peripherals that has USB port 3) its black, and goes perfectly with our TV setup But the most wanted feature I required from this bar - was left-to-right range. Our 5 yo daughter is on the ASD spectrum and we use Wii to help her with hand-eye coordination and balancing issues (using Wii board). With the standard bar and large screen TV, even slight motion would move the cursor from one corner to another just too fast. Very soon our daughter became frustrated with games because she would move the controller too fast, too wide and couldn't see cursor on the screen. I've opted not to plug the USB into my Wii for power (I'm using USB for a network adapter), but instead used the enclosed AC adapter. I've had no difficulty using it on my 52" LCD from 20 feet away. Very responsive and accurate once sensitivity was configured in the Wii settings menu. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Scott van Outer "SvO" (Louisville, KY USA) - See all my reviews = Fun: This review is from: Nextronics Sensor Bar HD (Video Game) No batteries, no wires, better motion detection, thin and trim. It was automatically detected by my Wii without my having to do anything other than plug it in. It even has a easy disconnect in the cable near the sensor bar so you can unplug it to reduce wear and tear from being "on" when it's not in use. I guess it also protects the cable from being broken if someone pulls on it too hard. The power cable is normal length, so it must plug into a power strip in most cases. I would do that anyway to protect it just like all my other electronic equipment. |
